**DNA5 NOMINEES AT THIS YEAR'S CANADIAN SMOOTH JAZZ AWARDS

Thanks to everyone who has voted for us and all the talented people I have been fortunate to be listed with on this year's Canadian Smooth Jazz Awards nomination list. Voting closed at the end of February. We all have been biting our nails, waiting for the day to arrive. And it arrives: Friday April 7th at the Living Arts Centre. You can purchase tickets for the event from the Living Arts Centre box office at 905.306.6000 There will be some great performances as well, I will be presenting two awards: one for best male vocalist and keyboardist of the year.

SONGWRITER CAFÉ AT THE RED GUITAR

The stars and Jupiter are in alignment, in combination with Venus, the ruler of Taurus. All is set to go for the Songwriter Café to be held at the Red Guitar on May 16th in Toronto. Songwriters who will be performing that evening include: Me, Sienna Dahlen (www.siennaproductions.com) and Kurt Swinghammer (www.swinghammer.com) Show starts at 9:30pm sharp, with each writer having a 30-45 minute set. The cover charge is $9 at the door which is a bargain considering the amount of talent you will be swooned by that evening. Plus a piece of cake, since it is my birthday that day.

**EVERYTHING IS COMING UP ROSES - PRE PRODUCTION HAS BEGUN FOR "THE ROSE TATTOO"

Spring has finally sprung in Toronto. What was covered by snow, is finally beginning to show signs of life. Same could be said for the upcoming cd. Months of hibernation provided the cocoon for composing and writing lyrics. Now the little green buds are peaking their little heads; and we are infused with the energy to break through the earth. We have started our pre production rehearsals with intentions to be in studio by June. I am really excited about the line up of musicians and really excited about the direction we are taking the record. Earthy nu-jazz/pop meets world infused with hints of electronica. I will post some tracks for the new record on the website soon, so you can have a taste of what is to come.

And to make things even more enticing, we are going to produce a dvd, which will document the process as well, have the band perform in a setting which will be an exclusive set up for the dvd. Intrigued now aren't you?
