*TURNING JAPANESE WHILE BALI BOUND: DNA JOINS RON DAVIS TRIO TOUR

Daniela Nardi will be joining the Ron Davis Trio for their tour of Indonesia and Japan in November. First stop is the Bali International Jazz Festival, where Ms. Nardi will be the special vocal guest. She will also conduct a seminar with RDT entitled "Singing with a Piano Trio". Ms. Nardi will join RDT for selected dates in Japan, the second half of the tour. The "Musings" section of the website will run a blog of the adventures had in Indonesia and Japan.

*BUDDING IN THE HOT HOUSE WITH "THE ROSE TATTOO"

Ms. Nardi's much anticipated second cd release entitled "The Rose Tattoo" is in pre-production at the moment. Joining her on the production team is long time "right hand man" Kevin Barrett and engineer/producer Peter Hamilton. Some special guests will be lending their musical genius to the project. All tracks are planned to be recorded in Toronto with maybe some surprise visits elsewhere.

The cd is scheduled for a late Spring 2006 release with a Canadian and Stateside tour/showcases to follow. La Nardi describes this record as a mélange of genres and textures: "I consider myself a pop mongrel. I have been listening to a lot of blues lately but also a lot of Algerian music so, who knows what kind of interesting cross pollination will manifest."

*IT'S ALIVE! - DNA 2006 CONCERT SEASON

Currently Ms. Nardi and her ensemble are focusing on the new record, with international selected in November and a December show at Toronto's Red Guitar. Once production wraps up, performances will commence with club dates, soft-seat theatres, showcases and festivals throughout Canada and the States. A live DVD is also in the planning stages. This live performance recording will be held in Toronto. We will have more details of location and date soon.
