Midpoint summer. Change is in the air. Rumblings of a new record. Gigs. New directions. Ambiguity prevails. But with all changes, impermanence must be embraced. So, here we go with planting seeds for a fresh harvest...

*"The Rose Tattoo" In The Works
La Nardi has been taking some time this summer to work on a new record for an early 2006 release. "The Rose Tattoo" is a much anticipated second release for this Toronto artist. The new work will explore Nardi's Italian roots i.e. styles and song forms; but also blend in elements of blues, soul, reggae and jazz. In talking about recent writing sessions, La Nardi says: "I've stopped listening to music for a little while and just focusing on deeply listening to the 'jam session' in my head. From what I hear, I've got Sting, Ray Charles, John Coltrane, Paolo Conte with Fellini reading Rabindranath Tagore. Can't argue - just going with it."
Stayed tuned with "The Rose Tattoo's" progress in the "Musings" section of the DNA website...
